The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA might be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed concerning the superior amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office dedicated to service the area daily. The sassa services place produced for intervention experiences a significant influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it status sassa tough for that Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra resources to permit the servicing of all status sassa prospects and improve use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
